A 27" plasma TV was installed flush among the kitchen cabinets. It is attached to a pull out tilting bracket so that it can be viewed directly from any area of the kitchen and dining room.

Client wanted a roomier, brighter kitchen that opened to adjoining dining area.

The Client wanted to let go of this dated L-Shaped kitchen. Adding storage and bettering the flow of this kitchen were desired. The Client was ready to part with the bamboo décor and moon light, for a more updated modern and sophisticated look.

By integrating the small area off the kitchen this new galley shaped kitchen accommodates all of the Clients desires including: a wine cooler, a 42" Sub-Zero refrigerator, a beverage refrigerator, a built in steamer, two sinks, a recycling center, a 27" plasma TV, and plenty of additional storage and counter space.

Recessed lighting replaced the moon light for a modern bright feel.

As the Client is a big sports fan we were asked to incorporate a large plasma television that can be viewed by anyone in the kitchen and dining room.

After: Open island with sink, new French doors with sidelights

By opening up the wall between the dining room and the kitchen, the Client can now enjoy this fabulous new Great Room.  The kitchen cabinets were replaced with Kraftmaid Westboro Maple cabinets in a Vanilla Bean color. The dated tiles replaced were replaced with marble countertops, tumbled stone and faux brick backspash, and the flooring was replaced with a durable hardwood.

By removing the wall, the kitchen became roomier and brighter.  The addition of this large eat in counter area is a wonderful place for our Client to enjoy meals and to entertain.

Our Client had a beautiful, but dated, home next to the ocean.  The kitchen was behind a wet bar and open only to a small unused room on the backside of the fireplace.  Carpets, tile, lighting and kitchen were in need of updating.  

Result:


The kitchen was extended all the way to the back French doors to increase space. The old French doors were replaced with new energy efficient doors with sidelights and internal blinds to bring in more light. A large new island preparation area with sink and recycling center was added to allow the cook to easily communicate with guests.

Goal: 


Change this boring tile fireplace into something that fits with the beach environment outside the nearby window.

Even from the far side of the couch, you are still able to see into the kitchen, making this a much better environment for entertaining.

Tumbled stones surrounding the fireplace not only remind you of the beach outside, they also match the backsplash in the kitchen.  The new mantel gives a fresh clean look to this existing fireplace.
